2022 Elections

Lake and Peninsula Borough has been an pioneer in by-mail elections and now in providing BallotTrax, and option to track your ballot through the USPS system

On October 4, 2022 the Lake and Peninsula Borough will hold a general election to elect the following offices:

·        Assembly Member, Seat C, District 1, 3 year term – currently held by Michelle Pope-Ravenmoon

·        Assembly Member, Seat F, District 2, 3 year term – currently held by Scott Anderson

·        School Board Member, Seat E, District 1, 3 year term – currently held by Austin Shangin

·        School Board Member, Seat G, At Large, 3 year term – currently held by Stacy Hill

There will NOT be any polling places for this election. All voters in all communities in the LPB will be voting entirely by mail.

The State of Alaska has implemented ranked choice voting. The primary will be pretty much the same, except there will be only one ballot. It will not be divided out by political party. The primary on November 8 is when you will see the ranked choice ballots. Click on the photo above to learn more.
