Borough Government
Established in April 1989, our goal was to give a voice to small communities by uniting an area as vast as Ireland. As a home-rule government, the Lake and Peninsula Borough (LPB) has the authority to exercise any powers not restricted by state law or its charter. However, LPB is only mandated to handle education, taxation, and planning; any other responsibilities are optional.
